The Pacific Palisades wildfire tore through much of the affluent West Los Angeles neighborhood forever … but it couldn’t tear apart this owner and his dog, as the two found their way back to each other on Sunday.

Here’s the deal… Liz Kreutz An NBC News reporter covering the devastating fires in Los Angeles shared a video Sunday morning of a man named Casey Colvin returning to her neighborhood in Pacific Palisades to look for her dog.

Apparently someone spotted this dog Oreos — in the rubble and called Casey into the area … and the two enjoyed a tearful reunion.

This is a must watch video for anyone feeling the effects of these fires… Casey is beside himself with joy;

According to Kreutz, Oreo has been sleeping under the rubble of the neighbor’s house for the last five days. Casey left food and water outside her house in hopes of helping Oreo survive… it’s unclear if the cub survived that or hunted for herself.

The Palisades Fire has burned more than 23,000 acres since it broke out last Tuesday, and has killed at least 16 people … while separating pets and their owners and leaving many wild animals with nowhere to go.

Either way, it’s a miracle that Oreo survived… and hopefully many other animals like him made it through this ordeal.
