The New Orleans Saints are mourning the loss Matthew TenedorioA Caesars Superdome employee … who was one of the 14 people killed in the New Year’s Eve terror attack.
The NFL team shared its condolences Thursday … saying it was “heartbroken” by the tragedy.
“Among those missing was Matthew Tenedorio, a valued member of the ASM New Orleans video crew,” the statement said.
“Matthew was young, talented and had a bright future helping to deliver quality content for both the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans.”
Tenedorio’s parents addressed the unimaginable loss to local media … his father said Matthew’s dream job was to work at the Superdome.
Even more painful… his mother says she tried to dissuade him from going to Bourbon Street on New Year’s Eve.
The parents said they frantically called Matthew after learning of the fatal attack … and when they couldn’t reach him, they knew something was wrong.
As we reported earlier, former Princeton Tigers football player Tiger Beech was also among the 14 who lost their lives early Wednesday morning.
