Michael J. Fox: He’s helped many people battling Parkinson’s over the years… and he even informs how it’s portrayed on the Golden Globe-nominated show.
Bill Lawrence – said the co-creator of the Apple TV+ show “Shrinking”. People The 63-year-old actor served as an inspiration for one of the heroes, who was diagnosed with a neurological disease.

Lawrence and co Brett Goldstein Have a personal connection with the disorder. they both have Parkinson’s… and Lawrence says it means a lot to write about something so close to her own life.
Bill says that Michael J. Fox served as his first mentor. the two worked on “Spin City” from 1996 to 2002, during which time Fox publicly announced his diagnosis … and he wanted to portray the disease in “hopefully an uplifting and not a sad or tragic way.”
Lawrence says she was inspired by how Fox bravely accepted the disease despite the challenges of living with it…continuing to work as hard as Bill knows how.
BL says Fox’s influence will be noticeable in the show’s Season 3 … which will likely hit the broadcaster next year. Season 2 aired this fall, and received two Golden Globe nominations for the ceremony. will start on January 5.
Ford and Jason Segel both nominated for acting awards.Segel was also nominated for his work in season 1, although he lost Jeremy Allen White For his work in the movie “The Bear”.
It seems that Ford and Segel can partly thank Michael J. Fox for helping develop those nominations.
