Mega Millions jackpot It has risen to $1 billion before the Christmas Eve draw.
The estimated jackpot would be the seventh largest in the game’s history and its seventh million dollar prize.
It would also be the biggest win ever in December if a card matches all six numbers drawn.

The jackpot’s cash value is estimated at $448.8 million.
The last time the jackpot was won was $810 million in Texas on September 10th. No one has won the top prize in the last 29 draws as the jackpot has increased.
The Mega Millions jackpot is only won before Christmas Eve, depending on the game. On December 24, 2002, a jackpot of $68 million was won in New York, although it was never claimed.
According to Mega Millions, the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350.
Mega Millions is played in 45 states, including Washington, DC and the US Virgin Islands. Tickets are $2 for one play. Tuesday’s drawing is at 11pm.
