Allegedly covered up sexual abuse of children

Mariano Rivera and his wife Clara:allegedly covered up child sexual abuse that took place at their home and at one of their church’s summer camps … according to a new lawsuit filed by TMZ Sports.
The bombshell allegations are laid out in court documents filed this month in New York, and while neither Rivera nor his wife are named as defendants in the lawsuit … both have been named repeatedly in the papers.
Mother A Doe The documents claim that his daughter, a teenager ID’s only as Jane A DuIn 2018, Clara was convinced to travel to Florida for an internship supported by her church, Refuge of Hope.
While there, Mother A Doe claims that Jane A Doe was sexually assaulted by a “much older camper” identified as “MG.” Mother A Doe says that when she learned of the abuse about, he informed Clara.
According to the lawsuit, Clara assured Mother A Doe that she would investigate the situation, but when Clara and Mariano arrived at the camp, they “each isolated and intimidated Mother A Doe into silence” to protect their church. and the associated summer program.
Mother A Doe claims that Riveras assured her that everything was fine … “despite actual or constructive knowledge that Jane Doe remained vulnerable to additional acts of sexual abuse by MG.”
After returning to New York from Florida, Mother A Doe claims Jane A Doe in her suit was once again sexually assaulted by MG … this time at a barbecue the Riveras were helping put on at their New York home. Mother A Doe says Riveras and others “took no action to protect” the girl from his abuse.
Mother A Doe says that years later, in 2021, Jane Doe was sexually abused by an adult man who worked as a youth leader at the Hope Shelter in Riveras individuals did not take adequate steps to ensure her daughter’s safety.
Rivera pitched for the Yankees from 1995 to 2013 and finished his career as the best ever.In retirement, he became a pastor at Asylum of Hope, where his wife worked as day-to-day operations supervisor. The Independent reported Wednesday.
Neither Mariano nor Clara have publicly commented on the allegations in the lawsuit.
