“President Trump has ushered in an era of political theater: a collective adrenaline rush to not only bring the masses to his camp, but to turn the masses away from us. We should not underestimate the historic nature of what he has achieved,” Williamson wrote. “In fact, it’s important to recognize the psychological and emotional dimensions of Trump’s appeal. We need to understand it in order to create the energy to counter it.”
