Man Who Attacked Judge in Vegas Courtroom Sentenced, Insists He’s Not Evil

The man who attacked the judge jumping over the bench In another case earlier this year, he was sentenced to 26 years in prison for aggravated assault.

Deobra Redden assaulted a Las Vegas District Court judge Mary Kay Holtus during the incident recorded from the courtroom on January 3 of this year, but it was the judge of the district court. According to the report, Judge Johnson rejected a request for the terms to be served concurrently and sentenced Redden to 26 to 65 years in prison to be served concurrently.

He is reportedly up for parole in the 2050s.

Redden spoke at the sentencing, insisting that he is not a bad person and that he has had problems since childhood.
