Liam PayneHis drug use brought him “near death” several times… long before he fell to his death from a hotel balcony in Argentina… at least according to his friend. Roger Norris.
In new legal documents from Argentina, obtained by TMZ, Nores recalls Liam’s drug problems … claiming the late One Direction singer had to be revived twice in as many years.
Norris is accused of abandoning Liam before his fatal fall in October, and she’s defending herself against the criminal charges here … talking about Liam’s drug habit.
Roger says Liam has spent the last year in and out of rehab trying to overcome his drug abuse … but he says rehab wasn’t successful and Liam’s addiction worsened to the point where Liam turned to more serious drugs such as heroin.
In the documents, Norris says Liam was “near death” in September 2023 from “severe poisoning” … resulting in a 3-day hospital stay in Italy.
Norris claims Liam was hospitalized twice again in London in late 2023 … and on one of those occasions, Liam was taken to an ambulance and had to be resuscitated.
Despite the alleged brush with death, Roger insists Liam’s drug habit has worsened this year… He says Liam checked into rehab in Spain in March, left before completing treatment, then relapsed in April and had to rehab again.

The claims that Roger makes in the documents are similar to what he told us to do our new documentaryTMZ Presents. Liam Payne. Who is to blame?”
Roger says he is not to blame for Liam’s death, saying in the documents… “I was a friend who loved him dearly, who personally helped him in everything I could, who spent my own money to help him, and even then. It wasn’t enough.”
