Liam Payne He died after falling from the balcony of his hotel in Argentina… TMZ learned.
The former One Direction singer died on Wednesday night. Several witnesses at a Buenos Aires hotel say Liam fell from his room on the 3rd floor of the CasaSur Palermo hotel. We don’t know if it was intentional or accidental.
TMZ obtained a photo of Liam’s body on the hotel’s wooden deck with tables and chairs nearby. We don’t show the whole body, but you can clearly see his tattoos.
Witnesses say it happened shortly after 5pm in Buenos Aires… and that Liam had earlier been behaving erratically in the hotel lobby; he smashed his laptop and had to take it back to his room.
Police and other first responders are now surrounding the hotel … and authorities have placed a red tent over the body as they begin investigating Liam’s death.

He was recently in Argentina Niall Horan concert earlier in the month, and the 1D bandmates actually reunited at the show.
Liam was just 16 when he joined One Direction… and the group went on to become the biggest boyband in the world after the 2010 edition of The X Factor. The band eventually broke up in 2015, and he was considered one of their main songwriters.
As we reported … Liam revealed in June 2021 that he struggled with alcohol and prescription drug addictions at one point when One Direction was on tour and things got so bad that he had “severe” suicidal thoughts.
There were earlier this week reports About Liam’s ex-fiancée Maya Henry claiming she left him after he asked her to have an abortion. His lawyers tried to get him to stop and stop email to stop contacting him.
