I was recently asked for a definition of “hard science fiction” and I blurted out something along the lines of “it has to have a lot of science in it, and even spaceships.” I’m not sure the spaceship part is correct. But, for the sake of this article, if my awesome definition is in play, then The lake of darkness Adam Roberts scores 100 percent.
