Alfred Rowe — A disgraced prison guard who used to work at South Carolina’s Camille Graham Correctional Center, where Smith served until 2000, tells TMZ … the parole board made the right choice by keeping him in prison.

Rowe says she doesn’t think Smith has changed … and that the excitement at the audition was just for show; AR said someone should have bottled and brought tears for her to use because she is incapable of that level of emotion on her own.
Rowe says that he may have some regrets, but that being employed as he was was a complete fabrication.
The former guard previously accepted by us Sex with Smith was not worth losing his job or reputation. he told TMZ he “allowed” Smith to perform oral sex 2-3 times, but said he didn’t ask for anything in return. Prison authorities noticed their relationship and fired Rowe and another guard admitted to having sexual relations with a prisoner in 2001 and was sentenced to 5 years of probation. He said that his negative opinion of Susan had nothing to do with their past.
As we told you… Smith’s application to the parole board was shot unanimously this morning five voted in favor and one abstained.
Smith insisted that he had learned and changed since his 3-year-old and 14-month-old sons were killed in 1994. The boys’ father came to the hearing on their behalf, saying it was a terrible decision, not an accident or a mistake.
The parole board cited the seriousness of Smith’s crime and his poor disciplinary record as they denied his request. Rowe previously referred to his disciplinary violations over the years, many of them for drug-related offenses is ever seen.
Rowe says he’s confident the parole board made the right choice.
