The split comes amid speculation about the couple’s relationship status … given the fact that both Jessica and Eric have been seen without their wedding rings.
Not to mention, in November, Jessica teased a “comeback,” which she said was “an apology to myself for putting up with something I didn’t deserve.”

After some raised eyebrows on social media, sources tell TMZ … someone close to Jessica reached out to an L.A. divorce attorney and allegedly told them the singer was unhappy with her marriage, though we’re told Jessica wasn’t at the time contact a lawyer.
The relationship update comes almost a year after Jessica revealed she’s been spending a lot of time away from Los Angeles, where her family is based, as she’s been recording new music in Nashville … and splitting her time here and there : She told People that while she was working in Tennessee, Johnson was often here in Los Angeles with their children.
Another element that could be at play here is Jessica’s personal health, including drama weight gain and loss in recent years…not to mention he has now been 7 years sober.
