There’s Asakura He’s fighting for the flyweight title in the main event of UFC 310, his first fight in the United States, and the Japanese MMA star says there’s one special person he’d like to see in the Octagon… Shohei Ohtani!
TMZ Sports It recently split with Asakura, 31, ahead of his UFC debut, a title fight vs. Alexander Pantoya It goes down in Las Vegas on Dec. 10, and the 21-4 fighter is hoping the new World Series champion can make the trip to Sin City.
“I’ve never met (Ohtani),” Asakura told us through a translator. “But I’d like him to come and watch me fight.”
It’s unclear if Shohei is even a fight fan, but it’s common to see big stars, including top athletes, at UFC events.
As for what Shohei, or anyone else watching, can expect to see from Kai… here’s what he had to say.
“They’re going to understand that I have an explosive fighting style,” he said. “.
We also asked Asakura if 21-4 Pantokha, who is trying to defend her third title, is her toughest opponent.
“I don’t think so,” he said, wasting no time.
