Jahmir Gibbs Fantasy football managers, rejoice … Lions superstar says he’s totally ready to take on the bell cow role in Detroit David Montgomery‘s injury, he tells TMZ Sports“It’s not something I’m used to.”
Gibbs, of course, already had a huge hand Dan Campbell‘s backfield has carried the ball 186 times this season, but after Montgomery injured his knee in Sunday’s loss to the Bills, he is now expected to take the majority of the snaps.
When we asked the 22-year-old on Tuesday if he was up for it … he didn’t mince words and said a resounding yes.
“I mean, I’ve been doing it all my life,” he said. “That’s how I ended up here.”

In the Bills game alone, he certainly backed up his performance … finishing the day with over 100 yards and two touchdowns.

Detroit’s next game is Sunday against the Bears … and considering Chicago gave up just 114 rushing yards and two TDs to the Vikings in a Monday Night Football loss, it could be a huge first day as the full-time RB1 for Gibbs. .
