The 2 meter long Aesculapian snake is native to the warmer parts of Europe

Great Britain has only three natives snakes but a fourth species, the 2 meter long Aesculapius snake, is reproducing in the wild in at least three places – taking advantage of the warmth of the buildings and the compost heap.

Major Tom At Bournemouth University in the UK and his colleagues, they tracked these newcomers to understand how they survive in this non-native habitat.

“Seems like using buildings for shelters and piles of plants for laying eggs….
