Taking insect images requires a lot of patience, luck and muscle memory, Sarb says. He wants to take photos in the warmer months during the hours of the dawn, when there are fewer assets. Multiple photos are taken in different focal length and then combined to increase the depth of the final product area, often the result of dozens of images.
The image of the lady – the exact species is unknown – Sen’s favorite symmetrical insects: dark ovums that appear in composite eyes, consisting of many lenses.
“I love t-shirts that take pictures with almost cartoon, with almost cartoons,” Souse says. “I find good topics to share with children and adults – more interested in the small world around us.”
