Hugh Jackman she’s using her platform to help search for a missing Broadway dancer Zelig Williams … who hasn’t been seen in over a week.
The actor, who performed with Williams in his 2019 film The Man. The Music. The Show” during the tour. posted on her Instagram Stories about her peer’s disappearance … asking anyone with information to “please contact your local authorities.”
He added … “Zeligh we love you and pray for your safe return. Please forward this message!!!”
Williams, known for his work on Broadway’s “MJ The Musical” and “Hamilton,” went missing last week in Columbia, South Carolina.
According to a missing person flyer, the performer was last seen on Thursday, October 3 at his home. Her family members reported her missing the next day … because it was “out of character” for her to go an entire day without contact, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department said.
Williams’ car was later found in a car park near Congarry National Park. Williams’ phone reportedly sent an SOS alert to one of his friends in New York … even though the car showed no signs of an accident when it was discovered.
An extensive search is underway for the dancer with the Richland County Sheriff’s Office Leon Lott sharing back WIS10: the authorities “searched various places on foot (and) in the air”.
He mentioned “other investigative methods that we’ll be using in relation to cell phones and some other things that I don’t want to discuss at this time.”
A spokesperson for the Richland County Sheriff’s Department also tells TMZ that this is being treated as a missing person’s case. While there is no evidence of foul play, nothing has been ruled out.
Sheriff Lott also previously mentioned that Williams needed prescription drugs…but didn’t specify.
