While traditions come and go, there may be none as enduring as watching the Detroit Lions play on Thanksgiving. Every year of the team’s existence—except for 1939 through 1944, when the world was preoccupied with World War II—the Lions have been part of Thanksgiving games.
And since 2016, they have lost every time.
However, that could change this year, as Detroit has one of the best records in the NFL and has been consistently dominant on the field.
Until you finish cooking the turkey and while you distract yourself from the political debate that may be happening in your house this year, find a cozy spot on the couch and enjoy some football. You have three games to enjoy this year.
Note, however, that unlike a normal Thursday, none of today’s games will be broadcast Amazon. That streaming service, on the other hand, will have an exclusive game on Friday.
