Hanna Kobayashi‘s family is ready to put this sad ordeal behind them… and offers to return the funds they collected as part of the search for a previously missing relative.
TMZ broke the story … Hannah, the Hawaii woman who went missing last month, recently communicated with his familyconfirming that he is safe and sound after causing nationwide concern.
During Hannah’s MIA status, HK’s loved ones started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to search for Hannah, and the money will be used for supplies, temporary housing and communications.
However, now that Hannah has been found, the family have expressed their heartfelt thanks to people who have helped during this difficult time… and offered to refund those who want their money back.
In a statement explaining their decision to end donations, the family wrote … “We are incredibly relieved and grateful that Hannah is safe. The past month has been incredibly trying for our family. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone , who supported us during this difficult time, your kindness and concern means the world to us.”
They have assured donors that any request for reimbursement will be honored as long as the claim is filed by December 18.
A GoFundMe has also raised funds for it Ryan KobayashiHannah’s father, who died in an apparent suicide while searching for his daughter, is unclear if the family plans to return the money they had planned to use for her funeral.
All in all, it’s clear the family is ready to move on from this drama.
