Dozens of brazen thieves rode a Chicago freight train to steal as much as they could carry… and the scene was caught on camera.
The heist happened Friday afternoon on the city’s West Side … when a large group quickly stole as much as they could before authorities arrived.
News anchor for the local station ABC 7: happened to be in the area … and got footage of the heist as it unfolded on a Union Pacific train.
A spokesperson for the railway company told the news station that “the train was stopped awaiting an exchange with a partner railway when the thieves started to open the containers”.
Footage from the scene shows officers arriving … guns drawn … and trying to stop some of the scum … and at least six arrests, according to the news station.
The police investigation is ongoing… but it certainly doesn’t appear to be the first time such a brazen train robbery has taken place… and it likely won’t be the last.
