@Eminem:
The show comes just days after TMZ reported that her mother, Debbie Nelson, died after an advanced battle with lung cancer. He died in St. Joseph, Missouri at the age of 69.
Some fans feared the rapper would cancel his performance in Abu Dhabi due to the death of his mother, but those rumors were dispelled on Wednesday when his social media accounts confirmed the show would go ahead.

@yashsayings:
Eminem’s relationship with his mother was known to be a source of drama and dysfunction, with her publicly accusing him of neglect and abuse early in his career. She would go on to sue him for defamation in 1999.
The two have made many attempts to reconcile over the years, but it is unclear if they saw or spoke to each other before her death.
