The Eagles are setting the tone for an upcoming benefit concert for the victims of the Los Angeles wildfires with a massive first donation … pledging more than seven figures.
It became known to TMZ that the famous rock band is donating 2.5 million dollars.
It is unclear whether the huge donation means the Eagles are among the acts performing at a FireAid benefit concert later this month.
As we first told you … there was overwhelming response of musicians wanting to take part, with over 50 bands and acts wanting in. There are only 24 spots available so far, but organizers are trying to add spots to accommodate more acts.
We’re told the performers will be in Los Angeles…and it’s worth noting that the Eagles formed in Los Angeles in the 1970s, and one of their biggest hits was “Hotel California.”
FireAid is going to be engaging, exciting and raise a ton of money… and the Eagles are getting the ball rolling here.
