Former President Donald Trump has not played golf since apparent attack near one of his courses last month, and is not expected to hit the golf course again until a new security plan is put in place — sources told ABC News not expected to be in place until after the election.
The Secret Service had previously expressed concern about Trump playing golf and told him information in the last month that additional planning and safety procedures are required to continue his golf outings.

Asked about the development, a Secret Service spokeswoman referred questions to the Trump campaign.
“Since the assassination of former President Trump on July 13, the US Secret Service has made comprehensive changes and improvements to our communications capabilities, resources and protection operations,” said Secret Service Communications Chief Anthony Guglielmi. “Today, the former president is receiving increased protection and we take our responsibility to ensure his safety and security very seriously.”

Ryan Routh, 58, He pleaded not guilty on September 30, to federal charges related to the alleged attempt to kill Trump at the former president’s Florida golf club. On the day of the alleged assassination attempt, Trump was playing golf on the course when a Secret Service agent saw a gun barrel through the tree line near the sixth green, according to investigators.
Routh fled after officers fired in his direction and was apprehended. Trump was not harmed in the incident.
