The president-elect posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, Sunday … only about an hour after the Carter Center announced that former President died at 100.
In his message, Trump writes that anyone who has been president knows that it is a very exclusive club… and only its members can understand the responsibility of leading the country.

Trump says he and his wife Melania are thinking of the Carter family at this difficult time … and he’s urging his followers to keep them in their prayers.
It’s a drastic change from the relationship between Trump and Carter when the latter was still alive … just two months ago. Carter’s 100th birthdayTrump called Joe Biden worst president ever, before telling Jim he’s “the luckiest man because Carter is a brilliant president by comparison.”
Carter died surrounded by family Sunday evening after spending nearly two years in hospice care.His wife, Rosalyn Carter, died last year at the age of 96.
Tributes have been pouring in for Carter from across the political world, including President Joe Biden, who called him an “extraordinary leader” and former president. Barack Obama who wrote Jim taught the world “what it means to live in grace, dignity, justice, and service.”
