Whitey, who was returning to the ring for the first time since March, was given a tougher fight than expected by the spirited Tett, who withstood a series of punishing shots before being ejected in the eighth.
White rocked Tetti with a series of hard jabs in the opening round, prompting a flurry of reactions from the Ghanaian, who responded with wild, spinning hooks.

The second round continued to be a sloppy encounter, with Tete complaining in vain of body shots while trading shots at close range with White.

In the sixth, White’s blistering offense put Tett in serious trouble, but the Brit slid to the canvas with a missed hook and the referee ruled out a knockdown.
Tete was nearly knocked down late in the seventh and was spared more punishment as the fight was stopped after he returned to the corner tired.
