Dennis QuaidHe’s definitely cool under pressure…stopping to chat with a reporter while evacuating his Los Angeles home amid the fires, and leaving behind some knowledge to evacuate his friends.
The actor was leaving his home in Brentwood overnight after the Pacific Palisades wildfire shifted with the wind and began creeping toward the affluent Los Angeles neighborhood.
This interaction between an NBC 4 Los Angeles reporter and Dennis Quaid.

@ACinPhilly
A reporter working for NBC’s local news station jokes … that Dennis is trying to pull off a miracle by putting two 17-year-old girls’ laundry baskets into his Mercedes.
Check out the clip…Dennis obviously laughs at the taunt and even jumps in to correct the reporter after he says the power went out.Dennis replies that they turned it off on purpose to prevent downed power lines , which contribute to the fire.
Dennis then encourages people to turn off the gas line while they leave their homes… in hopes of slowing down the disaster.
“Our experience of reality can change in an instant.”

@RebeccaMtn:
Quaid lets it all go … despite the dire situation in West Los Angeles, though he grows more emotional as the conversation progresses.
The Palisades Fire has burned more than 22,000 acres this week…the largest of several fires in Los Angeles, it is currently only 11% contained and thousands of people have been forced to evacuate.
Dennis Quaid is among them…and hopefully his advice will reach others who are leaving the area.
