Dogs are known as man’s best friend, but not for one Delta Air Lines passenger who says she was kicked from her first-class seat by a service animal.
After her harrowing experience, the passenger posted a photo of the furry crown on Reddit and ranted about what happened to her.
Under the username @ben_bob, he said on the forum that he was upgraded to first class before his flight, only to be demoted 15 minutes later to “the worst seat I’ve ever had”.
He discussed the matter with the desk agent, who only said, “something has changed.”
Seconds later, the man saw the dog sitting on the floor, in front of the bulkhead seat, with the extra legroom it had been given for a moment.
This sent the passenger over the edge as he raged on Reddit. “Okay, okay, I’m upset, but whatever, I’m only getting to see this dog in my first class seat. And now I’m pissed.”
She was so upset that she contacted Delta, and an agent told her that people “can be transferred for service animals” and “there’s nothing they can do.”
However, according to Delta’s guidelines, service dogs must be accommodated in the footwells of passenger seats and not encroach on other customers’ aisles or space.
The angry passenger also complained on the Reddit forum. “No way that dog spent as much with this airline as I did. What an absolute joke!”
He added that it makes no sense to be a loyal Delta customer now and is questioning his loyalty to the airline because he and other fliers are being treated poorly.
Talk about being barking mad!
