David Coote has denied claims he discussed a yellow card before the game.
The sun The paper claims that Kut prescribed then-Leeds player Ezgian Alioski during a match against West Brom in October 2019, then texted a friend saying:
“I categorically deny these false and defamatory allegations. Whatever problems I have had in my personal life, they have never affected my decision-making on the pitch.
“I have always valued the integrity of the game, refereeing matches impartially and to the best of my ability.”
A PGMOL spokesperson said Sky Sports News“The facts must be established in the light of these very serious allegations.
“We adopt a zero-tolerance approach to breaches of our code of conduct, which is signed by all match officials on an annual basis. The PGMOL Board is committed to taking appropriate action if any breach of that code is proven.
“David Coote remains suspended and subject to ongoing disciplinary proceedings by PGMOL, pending an independent investigation into the matter by the FA.
“At this stage, we will not make any other comments.”
