Former England midfielder Danny Carr has revealed he will end his 20th season at Harlequins by staying at the club for another year.
Kay, 38, who joined Gallagher Premiership club from Leeds in 2006, retired from international rugby in March last year but said he was not ready to hang up his boots just yet.
He told BBC. “I’ll be at Harlequins next season, I won’t leave, I love it too much, I can’t give it up yet.
“Hopefully a few Quins fans will be happy with it.”
Keir made his record 386th appearance for Harlequins in the recent 34-34 draw with Leicester at the Allianz Stadium.
“That game probably reminded me again how lucky I am to still be playing this game that we love and to still be playing at the club that I love,” he added going to give it up as long as I’m enjoying it.”
Keir won two Premier League titles with the London club in 2012 and 2021 and the European Challenge Cup in 2011.
He became the sixth player to make 100 caps for England in last year’s Six Nations win over Ireland and made his 101st and final international cap in the 33-31 defeat by France.
