Claressa Shields ‘Fire Within’ rages on with new biopic about the boxing star’s rough upbringing in Michigan… The ‘surreal’ T-Rex film says it will have a positive impact on countless people.
“I just believe it’s very inspiring,” Shields said TMZ Sports. “Now I have watched my film nine times and to see Ryan Fate picture me like him. I know ‘The Fire Inside’ is going to be life-changing. (Ryan) did such a great job.”
The film, released on Christmas Day, tells the story of Shields as a young female fighter in Flint; gold in boxing.
“Trauma, trauma, trauma. It was very exciting when I first saw my biopic,” Claressa admitted.
Because looking back is hard, SS, who says he’s not a “super private person,” admits he didn’t like the idea of looking back, but he took a chance and opened up, big time had an impact.
“So many people have reached out. Little girls are sending me boxing videos. Girls are coming back to the gym and are so motivated.”
Despite already having a movie about his life, Shields says he’s not done yet … and at the moment, he has a big fight scheduled for February 2nd in his hometown.
Shields with a 5-0 win over the heavyweights Daniel Perkinswill become the first undisputed female champion.
