In a photo posted to Instagram by Saturday Night Live on Monday, Chevy can be seen with a noticeable black eye while holding a family member.

Even though the visible bruise totally bothered her, the comments section moved quickly to post it…expressing both concern and curiosity about the purple mark.
For the most part, fans were wondering if Chevy’s eye was okay… though one commenter compared the injury to: Jay Lenoown last nasty bruise.
In response to the growing interest, a rep joked to TMZ … “He doesn’t like to brag, but he fights crime late at night. You can thank him later.”
In all seriousness, Chevy’s rep assured us that the comedy legend is fine, revealing that the funnyman “just bumped his head in his hotel room while rushing to a meeting.”
CC has not personally commented on the situation … although we’re sure fans are breathing a sigh of relief after learning the injury isn’t serious.
Despite the intrigue surrounding his injury, other fans focused on the photo’s sweetness … with many calling Chevy “grandpa goals” for the loving family photo.
