Long-term Chelenham Festival Favorite Sir Gino is excluded for the rest of the season after taking the ligaments.
The five-year-old petrmet had to miss the preposition in Newbury, which was described as a “small wound” on the back leg, but that injury is now infected, and Mr. Wine is treated in horseback.
It belongs to Joe and Marie Donelli, Mr. Gino is five to five perfect five, winning twice on fences and 8/11 of the Arkle day in March.
In a statement on X, Henderson said:
“As a result of preliminary exams in Donnington Grove, the infection invaded the ligaments to his back to his foot.
“It will require long-term treatment that will painfully disappears him this season.
“This is a terrible blow to Joe and Marie Donelli and everyone, but we will do everything to help this incredible bright light next season.”
It is the second successive festival that has been left out of the obstacles of last year’s victory, as the health problems of Henderson have laid health problems.
It leaves Willbi Mulins Mayboro as a 4/7 favorite in the collection before L’Eau Du Sud and Ballyburn.
