A French health insurance company has tested its medical chatbot with hundreds of people in the largest real-world test of a medical AI of its kind.
Tech companies have long promised that their AI could help ease the pressure on doctors by providing accurate medical advice, but critics have questioned their accuracy and potential risks, and they have been unsuccessful. One of the leading AI healthcare companies, Babylon Healthit failed last year.
