Brett Favre Admits He Thought Parkinson’s Diagnosis ‘Was The End Of The World’

Brett Favre She admits she was terrified at first when she learned of her Parkinson’s diagnosis… TMZ Sports he thought at first “it was the end of the world”.

Last week, Favre got candid with us about his much-publicized health struggles … revealing that when doctors told him he had the condition in January 2024 after experiencing some issues with his right hand, his initial thoughts were pessimistic.

He said he believed “the world is closing in on me” … and he wondered aloud how it all happened.


“I am healthy,” he said. “I’m very active, so it doesn’t happen to me.”

Favre, however, says that now that it’s been a year, he has a much different mindset.

“I try to live in the moment,” he said, “and just make the most of what I have.”

The 55-year-old Hall of Famer pointed to his family, friends and his “great support group” as reasons to stay positive. He also said the Parkinson’s medication he takes has managed his symptoms.

He did, however, reveal that his mind sometimes wanders to what might be on the horizon, telling us: “There is always a fear of what will happen next. what’s the next step?”
