Bob Briar The frontman of My Chemical Romance from 2004 to 2014 has died … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Bryar was found dead Tuesday at his home in Tennessee after he was last seen alive on Nov. 4.
We’re told there’s no foul play involved, as all of Briar’s weapons and musical equipment in the house remain intact.
Animal Control came to the home after the body, which we’re told was badly decomposed, was found and two dogs were taken in. The doctor is investigating the cause and manner of Briar’s death.
Bryar first met My Chemical Romance when they were on tour with The Used in 2004… and was officially replaced. Matt Pelissier shortly after they released their album “Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge”.
Bryar played drums on 2006’s The Black Parade, perhaps the band’s best-known record, and wrote songs on the band’s 2010 album Danger Days. for the song The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.
However, before the release of Danger Days, Bryar left the band… spending the next few years working with other bands before announcing that he was transitioning from the music industry to real estate.
In 2020, he came to the memorial and wrote about it late Rush drummer, Neil Peart … talking about his childhood crush and subsequent friendship with the drummer.
After leaving the band, Bryar has people on the Internet after admitting that he had several suicidal thoughts after leaving MCR.
While My Chemical Romance is scheduled to go on tour next year, Bob was not a member of the band returning to play.
Briar was 44 years old.
