Reigning world champion Luke Littler and world No.1 Luke Humphreys will headline Bahrain 2025 next week.

The first World Series of Darts event of the year will be held on the Bahrain International Tour from January 16-17 as eight PDC superstars compete against eight Asian representatives.

After a stunning debut run at the World Championships, Littler consolidated his arrival on the world stage with a nine-dart stroke en route to victory at last year’s Bahrain Darts Masters.

The teenager lifted the unique palm trophy at the Dome of the Bahrain International Circuit to win his World Cup debut and went on to win the Premier League and Grand Slam before his incredible 2024/25 World Cup victory.

Luke Littler has reflected on his first win at the World Darts Championship and shared his aspirations to break Phil Taylor’s record.

World Cup semi-finalists Stephen Bunting and Chris Dobbie will be competing in the competition for the first time since joining the Premier League in 2025.

Former world champions Rob Cross and Gerwyn Price also return, along with 2023 World Matchplay winner Nathan Aspinall.

Two-time world champion Peter Wright completes the eight-man PDC line-up, with Dutch superstar Michael van Gerwen missing out due to family commitments.

Asia’s representatives include six PDC Asian Tour players competing in the World Darts Championship, with PDC Asia champion Lawrence Ilagan one of three Filipino stars.

Ilagan will be joined by 2024 PDC Asian Tour Medal of Merit winner Alexis Toilo and Paolo Nebrida, who saw off Jim Williams and Ross Smith to reach the last 32 at Alexandra Palace.

Hong Kong’s Lok Ying Lee has been included after reaching the second round of the World Darts Championship, while China’s Xiaochen Zong and India’s Nitin Kumar will also play against the PDC’s elite.

Completing the 16-man field are Bahrain’s Bassem Mahmoud and Abdullah Saeed, who won last month’s Bahrain Qualifiers to confirm their return to World Series Darts.
