Real Betis have signed Manchester United’s WINDER Anthony for the rest of the season, subject to international clearance.
Antoni joins Betis on a direct loan deal that sees the United Kingdom recover at least 84 percent of his wages plus bonuses.
United want Antonio to get more first-team football before reconsidering his future in the summer, and the Seville-based side will have no option for the player at the end of the loan deal.
Manchester United’s statement reads:
Betis are managed by former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini and are still involved in UEFA’s UEFA Conference League.
United played in the United States in July as part of their campaign tour, playing in the second half of a 3-2 win for his parent club.
Under his former boss Erik Tas Haag, AJAX signed him for £86m in September 2022, making him the second most expensive signing in the club’s history.
But the 24-year-old failed to justify his price, scoring 12 goals in 96 appearances.
Antoine has scored just one Premier League goal since April 2023, a drop from his 23 from his start to 15 last season.
Vine has played in just 13 of the United’s 32 games this season.
Antoni’s contract expires in 2027 and includes a club option for a further year.
Brazil have been in every squad under Ruben Amorim so far, bar none, but have yet to start a Premier League game this season.
