Amanda Serrano Got a fight above the eye Kathy Taylorbut the boxing star tells us he wasn’t worried about the massive cut… he was just worried he’d miss out Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson!
“Thank God the doctor was a plastic surgeon, and I told him: “Please, I have two requests. Please don’t make it look too bad, and can you hurry it up a bit? Because I have to go see Jake,” Serrano, 36, said Babcock on TMZ Sports.
“(The doctor) did a great job and I’m happy with it. Thank goodness it’s in the shape of an eyebrow, so you can barely see it with a little makeup.”
Of course, Serrano-Taylor, which averaged a staggering 74 million viewers during the fight, was the most-watched women’s sporting event in United States history.
Serrano says he didn’t realize the extent of the cut at first until he left the ring and was backstage.
“My corner, which is my brother and sister, they kept calm and cool, they didn’t tell me how big it is,” said Amanda.
“When I went to the back and looked in the mirror, I said, “Oh my God. It brought tears to my eyes because I felt even more sad for the viewers, especially for my family who came home. They had to see it. It was really scary.”
As for the fight, and the whole Paul vs. Tyson card, Amanda described it as “really amazing.”
“I’m just happy to have participated in such a great event,” Serrano said.
“It was really amazing and overall what we did in that ring where we showed so many millions of people that women can fight, bloody and all, big cuts and all, we went out there, there was no defeat in me : I wasn’t. I would have given the fans what they came to see, and that was a great fight.”
You’d be hard-pressed to find a single rational person who disagrees.
