Lil DurkThe criminal case just got tougher… Feds say he’s too dangerous to be released on bail, pointing to possible ties between the Chicago rap star and another alleged murder-for-hire plot.
Durk’s legal team sought bail, but on Thursday prosecutors unsealed a warrant issued in April 2023 that states Durk “offered money to people to kill those responsible for his brother’s murder” … and said it became his. MO, and may also have led to the January 2022 shooting death of a 24-year-old man Stephon Mack.
Yesterday, federal prosecutors charged two men with shooting and killing another man outside a Youth Peace Center in January 2022.
One of the accused was on bail on a Class X gun charge at the time of the murder.https://t.co/G7PMsZGqWJ

According to the search warrant, Mack was the head of the Smashville faction of the Gangster Disciples, which the feds say is a rival gang to the Black Disciples of Durkee’s OTF.
Mack was shot and killed while leaving the Chicago-area Youth Peace Center.
Chicago PD has two suspects in custody. Anthony Montgomery-Wilson and: Preston Powell But they believe Durk may have motivated the killing because he “allegedly offered cash rewards to solicit other murders.”
The feds point to a text message involving the men that allegedly reads:
Investigators also believe that Durk’s 2022 “AHHH HA” is essentially a tacit admission of his involvement as he boldly raps on the track; / I bet they know it.”
Prosecutors are using Mack’s investigation to bolster their case that Durk is too dangerous to be released pending trial in Los Angeles … but Durk’s team is slamming the story and insisting he poses no danger to the community.
He’s still facing it a murder-for-hire charge for the death of When Rondo?where he has yet to make a plea, but still has many supporters abroad.
