The Weeknd Breaks Own Record For Most Monthly Listeners on Spotify

The Weeknd:Spotify’s numbers have soared to blinding heights … as the star broke his own record for the platform’s monthly listeners.

The singer-songwriter now boasts an estimated 120.5 million monthly listeners… overtaking the pop star. Taylor Swift who is reportedly the only other artist with over 100 million monthly listeners.

The Weeknd has held the record ever since he first topped 100 million in February 2023 … holding the title nearly every month since the total was reached.


It’s been a rocky few weeks for The Weeknd … as his song ‘After Hours’ became the newest member of Spotify’s Billions Club. songs that have been streamed over 1 billion times.

“After Hours” is reportedly The Weeknd’s 18th song to break the 1 billion stream mark… more than any other artist.

Of course, he also has the most streamed song in Spotify history… 2020’s “Blinding Lights” is at the top spot of all time.

The Weeknd just finished two sold-out shows in Australia … and he’s got two more scheduled for next weekend.

Sources with direct knowledge tell us he’ll spend next week in Sydney … and he’s looking forward to putting on a great show for the floor. We’re told he’s currently focused on performing and the music he already has, rather than working on anything new.
