Does the dynasty continue? A new champion will appear.
There are plenty of big storylines in the 2024 Super League Grand Final, including what could be in store for both Wigan Warriors and Hull KR.
Wigan, who have already won the World Club Challenge, Challenge Cup and League Leaders’ Shield, are set for a historic quadruple if they can win the Grand Final. This would make them only the fifth club ever to complete such a feat.
If they do win, it will also be the first time the Whites have won the double at Old Trafford. They already have six wins in the Super League and are looking for their seventh.
Hull KR, meanwhile, have already made history by reaching the Grand Final for the first time in their club’s existence and are now looking to add to that by winning it at the first leg. It will make them only the fifth team to win on the big stage, joining the Warriors, St Helens, Leeds Rhinos and Bradford Bulls.
Willie Peters was named Coach of the Year and Mikey Lewis the Man of Steel at the Rugby League Awards and they will now be keen to show why they are considered the best in the competition.
What will happen? The rest of the Super League weighs in…
So what will happen to the rest of the Super League? One thing they agree on is that it’s going to be an epic matchup…
Salford Red Devils Mark Sneyd…
“I think it’s fair, isn’t it, after one or two games in the league.
“I can see it being one of the best finals we’ve had, to be honest.
“The way KR play their game and the way Wigan play their game, it has everything we need for the final to raise our game and make it what we want it to be.
Matty Nicholson of Warrington Wolves…
“I think it’s going to be a really good game, obviously they’re the two best teams in the competition.
“I think Wigan might just play it, but it should be a great spectacle for rugby league.
“Hull KR are a brilliant team this year.
“The table doesn’t lie, they’re top of the table and the two best sides in the competition are in the Grand Final and it should be a really good game of rugby league.”
