Selena Gomez Breaks Down in Tears Over Mass ICE Arrests

The pop star took to her Instagram Stories early Monday morning in which she openly sobbed as she reflected on the recent arrests. Benny BlancoHis fiancee expressed how “sorry” she felt about the news and said her people were “under attack”.

Selena was most shocked that “kids” were taken in the raids … a clear reference to the president’s recent authorization allowing ICE to target schools and churches moving forward.

He continued… “I don’t understand. I am very sorry. I would like to do something, but I can’t. I don’t know what to do.”

Despite his despair, the Mexican-American star vowed to try “everything” to protect his community.

Selena has since taken down her emotional response, however … revealing that she received backlash over the tumultuous upload.

The former Disney Channel alum wrote in a follow-up post … “Obviously it’s not good to show empathy to people.”

Selena’s response comes after ICE confirmed that officers arrested 956 people in several raids in Chicago, Miami and Newark on Sunday.

Since taking office last week, Trump has signed several executive orders related to immigration … making good on his campaign promise to crack down on illegal immigrants through mass deportations.
