It was a mesmerizing and frightening moment Friday night when a fire tornado erupted as massive fires continued to ravage parts of Los Angeles.
A tornado or “firenado” has been filmed Fox 11:00 On the north side of the Palisades fire, winds fanned the massive flames in a stunning weather event.
Fox11 Adam Kruger surprised at this point… when explaining it happens when the wind meets the updraft creating an eddy that catches the flames causing a fire.
Tuesday’s Palisades Fire remains the largest fire to ravage Los Angeles County. it has destroyed more than 21,000 acres in Pacific Palisades and Malibu, and is currently only 8% contained, making it the most destructive wildfire in Los Angeles history.
As of Saturday morning, there have been 11 confirmed deaths in all Los Angeles fires, with more than 100,000 evacuation orders in place … with that list growing overnight to Brentwood and Encino as the fire spreads eastward into the Palisades.

While the deadly destruction rages, Gov. Gavin Newsom and mayor Karen Bass both have been was heavily criticized around their response, including recent fire department budget cuts.
