Former Dallas Cowboys star Robert Quinn was arrested Friday … after police say he tried to flee the scene of a violent car crash.
According to a police report obtained TMZ SportsThe crash happened around 2 a.m. on January 10 in North Charleston, South Carolina.
Police say after responding to the scene of the crash, they found Quinn in another person’s driveway “with fresh blood consistent with injuries from a car crash.”
After examining the crash scene and interviewing people at the scene, including the driver of the vehicle Quinn was found in, officers determined the former NFL pass rusher had wrecked his Ford F-150 … and then tried to drive away, the documents state. area by calling an acquaintance to pick him up.
But officers wrote in the report that when they went to arrest Quinn for leaving the scene of a collision with property damage, he fought back.
The report said they had to put the 34-year-old man, who previously had slurred speech and didn’t want to identify himself, into a wheelchair before handcuffing him.
He was eventually taken to a nearby jail and booked at 6:52 a.m. on two charges, including reckless driving. Records show he was released later that day at 1:25 p.m. … and is now due to appear in court in February for a hearing in the case.
It’s hardly Quinn’s first run-in with the cops recently…back in 2023, she was arrested similar hit and run charges.
Quinn played in the NFL from 2011 to 2022 and had 102 sacks in 169 games.
