The body of former President Jimmy Carter will be carried Saturday morning in his hometown of Plains, Georgia, Atlanta.

The ceremony will be held at the Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta on Saturday at 4 pm.
The funeral home may pay tribute to Carter in Atlanta in the coming days before his remains are flown to Washington on Tuesday.

Carter will be in state at the Capitol Tuesday through Thursday.
Carter will be honored with a state funeral at Washington National Cathedral on Thursday morning. President Joe Biden a compliment is expected.
Thursday afternoon, Carter and his family will return to the Plains for a private service.
The public is then invited to follow a carriage ride as Carter and his family travel across the Plains to the late president’s final resting place.
