Ryan Seacrest he’s getting candid about the hardest part of hosting his New Year’s Eve… and it’s got everything to do with his post-ball drop lunch.
We caught up with the “American Idol” host on the eve of his annual “Dick Clark New Year’s Rock” in New York City … where he made it clear that he likes to count down to the new year every year.
However, Ryan said there is one downside to his job: he can’t eat until 1:30 a.m. due to his hosting duties.
RS admitted that he often “ends up hungry,” especially since there are tons of restaurants out early in the new year…even in the city that never sleeps.
Ryan says he’s still trying to figure out where to go after the TV special ends… and is open to suggestions.

In fact, when our photo suggested Ryan swing by an Applebee’s in the Big Apple after production wrapped, the TV personality said she wouldn’t rule it out and even asked for one of the restaurant’s best appetizers, a pu pu platter.
We’re sure Applebee’s will be open to hosting something for Ryan.
Early morning meals aside, Ryan shared that he’s also focused on commemorating Wheel of Fortune’s 50th anniversary in 2025.
