Two people have been killed and seven hospitalized after a shooting at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin, police said.
The alleged shooter, a juvenile, is also dead, police said.
The condition of the injured victims was not immediately clear.
Officials are working to reunite the students with their parents. About 390 students attend the school from Kindergarten to 12th grade.
Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., wrote on social media: “My sincere condolences and sincere prayers for all the victims of the tragedy at Abundant Life Christian School. I will continue to follow the situation closely.”
Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers wrote: “I am following closely what happened at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison. We are praying for the children, educators and the entire Abundant Life school community as we await more information and are grateful for the first responders. They are working quickly to answer those who have.
