It was police in San Francisco, where Luigi went missing, who reported that the alleged shooter and the missing 26-year-old may be the same.
According to The Post … Kathleen wasn’t 100% sure it was actually her son from the surveillance footage that was wildly shared.
Luigi was arrested the next morning while eating at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania after customers told an employee he looked like the Nationwide Hunt Boy.
Kathleen reported him missing in mid-November … telling police at the time that she hadn’t spoken to Luigi since July 1st.

Since his arrest … Luigi has hired a high-powered New York attorney Karen Friedman Agnifilo to present him as he faces manslaughter charges for Thompson’s murder. His original attorney was in Pennsylvania Thomas Dickie.
Luigi could be extradited back to NYC next week.
