“I am never one of those people who look too deeply into the draws. you just have to accept what you get and get on with it. It could have been worse, it could have been better.

“(We have) a difficult basket with one team. It doesn’t matter if it’s Portugal or Denmark, we’ll know Greece very well next year because we’ll play them twice in March (in the Nations League play-offs) and twice later in the year.

“Belarus, I don’t know much about it now, but I’ll definitely do my homework and learn a lot more about them before we get to play them.

“We are in a group of four teams, we know what we have to do to finish first or second to qualify.

“For everyone involved with Scotland, we’re desperate to get back to the World Cup. That was 1998, a long time ago, I was still playing, so it was a long time ago.
