The main suspect in the murder of the CEO of UnitedHealthcare Brian Thompson he may have stayed in a hostel, but it looks like he had some cash… because he had an expensive backpack with him.
The backpack appears to be an everyday backpack from Peak Designs … a bag designed for serious photographers, but also designed for casual use.
According to reports, it’s not a new model of the backpack… some say there’s a good chance the bag was purchased between 2016 and 2019.
It’s unclear if the suspect bought it at the time or later second-hand… but it’s a very specific type of backpack he chose, and it could serve as another clue as police continue to search for him seen in security photos of the suspect released by the NYPD.
Why the suspect is carrying a photo bag, whether they have a photography background or just want a bag with enough room to carry things while keeping a low profile is still unknown.
As we told you, the killer shot Thompson just before 7 a.m. Wednesday. shoot him several times in the back In Manhattan.
The police have already released his photos suspect’s facefootage of the suspect fleeing the scene on a bicycle, and they raided the New York dorm where he was believed to be staying…but the unknown suspect has yet to be apprehended.

We don’t know if the tag on the backpack will get police any closer to finding this suspect…but it’s another piece of the complicated puzzle.
